But we can not teach our students in the classroom that is the only thing... I missed

Also with the help of SIKHSHA SARALA materials, the printed content was shared with the children at their door steps in offline mode.

During this COVID 19 pandemic situation everyone is scared about health and hygiene. So after obeying all the information I planned accordingly. ReplyDeleteThis was very helpful for me to teach the students in classroom.
ReplyDeleteDuring Covid-19 online classes were conducted. Since many students were unable to attend the online classes due to lack in internet connectivity..some offline classes were conducted by following the covid protocol.I created a WhatsApp group and shared the lecture links in that . If a student faces any problem they often telephone me for their doubt clearance.

ReplyDeleteIn covid period only through online mode i.e. WhatsApp, we had taught our students. A very few no of students were present in classes at that time. We had contacted other students by making phone calls who had no smart phones at that time.
ReplyDeleteDuring covid I took online classes.I gave them assignments and clear their doubts through watsapp group. But it is not successful as only 30 to 40 percent students get the benefits from this
ReplyDeleteDuring the pandemic situation of COVID-19, the schools were closed and every one were in an unimaginary fear.
ReplyDeleteAt that situation, the only means of advising the students was mobile phone. It was hard to meet the students who had no phone as it was the time when people hesitated to give their phones to others .
I collected the phone numbers of the students and started teaching them on distance mode by sharing the pages of the text books as well as other study materials found from internet. I was also making telephonic contacts with some students every day to guide them on their studies as well as COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. A record of this telephonic contacts was being maintained regularly. Texts were given during the first half of the day and questions were given during the evening hours through WhatsApp. Students were asked to share their answers on WhatsApp. Standard answer sheets were given to them for their self verification before sharing a new lesson on the next day. Students were very intersted upon the distant mode of interaction at that time. A major barrier was the Network Problem in the area where my school is situated.
I had started the distant mode of guiding the students before the government told us to do so.
It was a hard task for me to take online interactive classes on Google- Meet due to certain Problems. Lack of proper internet facility in the remote and rural area of Malkangiri district in Odisha was a major barrier for online class. Although most of the people have mobile phones, majority of them have just the keypad type small phones without android system.
Only a few students had Android Phones. Sometimes it was observed that some students having android phones did not have the facility to recharge their phones for long days.
Continuous electric transmission was not available in the locality for days together for which charging the phone battery was not possible for the students and it was a major hindrance on online education of the students.
Still, with the good effort of the headmaster and all teachers of the school we were able to carry out the plans and programmes of the government from time to time.
During the covid-19 pandamic situation, all the students were deprived from the off line classroom teaching. They faced more mental dipression from their offline classroom traching and learning process so as a teacher i remained in touch with our students though different digital online platforms such as SIKSHYA DARPAN programme initiative
ReplyDeleteby govt of odisha to all the kids through the
television network.,some social media like youtube channel, whatsapp.I have also encouaged them to see the education app like DIKSHA APP and MADHU APP etc,. I had sent some worksheets and questions to make answer, the students have sent their answer sheets through whatsapp. I have solved their doubt through telepohonic conversation and whatsapp chat or videocall.I have strictly instructed to stay home, wear masks, regular hand sanitizer and to keep social distance. But some students have deprived from on line class due to lack of smart phone and andriod mobile
During the COVID -19 , all the safety measures are being followed , online classes were arranged , whatsapp groups were created to solve the doubts of the students.
ReplyDeleteI encouraged my students to study from various apps like Dikshya , shikshya darpan and now a days there are so many classes are going in YouTube also and on telephonic conversations I try to clear their doubts and sending notes on whatsapp but students response are very poor in rural area because they don't have proper internet facility and Android phone .
